Directly behind the camping site, lies the beautiful nature reserve of the foundation Utrechts Landschap (Utrecht Landscape), where sheep graze and deer are often to be seen in the evening.
The extensive forests and the park landscape of the Krakeling are ideally suited for making various interesting walks. Also for biking the possibilities are unlimited. Many gently undulating routes lead you through woods and heathland, past old cottages and cross-overs to the Krommerijn and Gelderse Valley.

The historic cities of Utrecht (ca. 12 km.) and Amersfoort (ca. 10 km.) are also within easy cycling distance.
Zeist is around 3km away from the camping site and has a long history as being the shopping centre of the Heuvelrug. The wide variety and choice of shops make a shopping trip an enjoyable and essential part of a visit to Zeist. There are many entertainment possibilities, including theatres, restaurants, discos and cosy pubs.
